Reading Notes: Inuit Folk Tales, Part B
Of the Part B stories, I think the most suitable for retelling is that of "Kanagssuaq." To make a long story short, Kanagssuaq, a great hunter, helps out another great hunter Kiliteraq, giving him part of his catch when there was a great dearth of seal where Kiliteraq usually hunted. Later, Kiliteraq gives Kanagssuaq a set of ornate and well fashioned hunting gear as a thank you.
My grandpa and his family come from the Greek fishing village of Sile in Anatolia. I think this story would be the perfect opportunity for a Greek fishermen retelling.
